Oreophryne nana from Camiguin Island

In 1967, a frog (Oreophryne nana) was named in 1967 had been thought to be the only vertebrate restricted to the island of Camiguin. They are now been classified as endangered.

Oreophryne nana commonly known as Small Narrow-mouthed Frog is a small microhylid frog distinguishable from O. anulata due to smaller size. Snout-vent length measures 17-20 mm. It is an oviparous, arboreal and nocturnal frog, occuring in arboreal sites inside primary forests at elevations of 600-1,000 m.
