My effort to join in the Blog Action Day 2007.

After reading many magazines, blogs & website on how to help save Earth. I’ve also draft out my list of 10 easy way all of us can do to help make Mother Earth a better place for all.

1) Control your temperature – Adjust the thermostat. By simply turning your air conditioner up one or two degrees, you could also save up to 5% on your energy bill.

2) Turn Off Water When Brushing/Soaping – A constant stream of water as we brush our teeth or applying soap quickly add up to the amount of water wastage.

3) 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) – To avoid unnecessary waste generation and convert unwanted things into useful and recycled products.

4) Change light bulbs – Highly efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) that last for years, use a third of the energy of regular bulbs and actually produce more light.

5) Don’t use disposable products – Minimise the amount of garbage

6) Clean green – Always look out for non-toxic cleaning products. Try using simple ingredients such as baking soda, soap, and vinegar which can be made cheaply and easily

7) Keep your car tuned up and your oil changed – The sad truth is that a gas guzzler emits as much CO2 as some homes. The good news is that anything you can do to improve the fuel efficiency of your car will have an impact. Buying a fuel-efficient car (like a Hybrid) is wonderful. Drive less is great. Just a simple tune-up often improves fuel efficiency and studies have shown that a poorly tuned engine can increase fuel consumption by as much as 10-20 percent.

8) Don’t buy products made from endangered animals – Enough Said

9) Turn Off the Computer – Make no mistake. Over the course of months and years quite a lot of electricity is wasted even when computer is in hibernation mode.

10) Spread the word about conservation – Time to get people to think about the earth
